Screening in Singapore
It was a full house at the private screening yesterday in Singapore, initiated and organised by art superwoman Henny Scott and Guy. Part of the proceeds from ticketing and wine will go into the purchase of computers from the remote village of Desu Satu Atap in Riau Archipelago - a cause that Henny and Guy are part of.
The audience loved the very animated Dr Oei and for those who know him, thought the film is an unbiased depiction of him as he really is - funny, animated and lively. A number of questions circled around the reception of the film in various cities and the situation of authentication of art in Indonesia.
It is always a pleasure to share this work and to constantly learn from the growing community of people who have made time to watch it.
You know you have arrived when a fellow film buddy volunteers to take photos for a film that he has watched. Thank you PJ!
Thanks to Dr Oei for allowing his story to be told.
